Weather Observations 3/1-3/2

Snow late last night around midnight for just an hour.  Cloudy skies with a high ceiling, some type of stratocumulus.  Temps are mild, a high of 37 today (Friday Mar 2nd) so some melting of snow and slush should occur.  Still overcast this morning with light winds out of the West (5-10MPH).

Current surface conditions seen here show the Colorado low that developed a week ago now moving into the eastern portion of the United States.  The low is pretty much centered right over Illinois at the moment and all that precipitation is working in a counter clockwise manner around the center of that low.  Meanwhile, a stationary low is making its way south out of Canada which is affecting some of the weather right now.  This air mass from Canada is moderating conditions and keeping things generally mild.

Observations taken at 911 Lakeside Avenue EC, WI 54703
